Sorry for the loss, make sure to take action as soon as you see something out of the ordinary, not to say that you didn't do anything, Bichirs are quite hardy.

I know this thread is a couple of years old, but I stumbled upon it by searching for my endli. since he is having a similar bump on his stomach. I'll see if I can start another thread with pictures of mine
he eventually sank down. when i got home, i thought it was a good sign. but yep. he was pale and dead. i think the air bubble was in its belly. when i would press down on its belly it would make a sound. but i guess i let it get out of hand for too long.

Yes, my he is. I just posted a thread about it with more information. But yes, swims right but not as much. Decreased appetite. Tried Epsom salt because I thought he may just be impacted. Hasn't used the bathroom yet that I know of.
