exotic fish are so expensive and hard to find in australia so much cheaper in the uk well any where in the world really ...

giant red tail gourami $600
my 2 one cost me 550
datnoid sieamese tiger fish $360
bichir 400
tiger bichir 350.
bush fish $50 bucks each.
 
Just cause I have the nack, but does anyone know anyone in Australia with a tank bigger than 600G? The biggest selling tanks are 180G.

Im sure there are a few people..
Theres a fish shop in Perth that are making 2 huge tanks from blocks and there massive(malaga aquariums)

Also if you want a bigger tank than a 6x2x2 you just have to ask a fish shop that builds tanks to make you one.

:D Does any one know a good excuse for my parents to let me build a ply wood tank so I can get a silver aro and a rtc.

Silver aros are my favourite, They look the best. would it be a bad idea to house a Silver aro with a jardini/saratoga? That'd be my dream, with some crayfish that wouldn't be eaten, like a 12" murray marron?
 
Your dreaming Liam. If your dad will only let you have a 4ft tank, how can you even provide for a RTC with a 4x4x4 tank? Even thats too small.
