lol, one of my snakes was afraid of colored mice for awhile.. he got over it when he found out that's what was for dinner though..

I've had a BUNCH of these but here are my FAV 2!!!! OK gentleman is browsing in our aquatics section looking as if he needs assistance. I go to help him and he's inquiring about a 5" Red Devil we had. I informed him he was actually up for adoption and free. He says he wants him and i proceed to grab a net and bag. I ask him what size tank he has and what other fish are in it. He responds and i quote "Oh im going to keep him in that bowl you have." i explain that this isnt possible and the fish wont make it. He huffs and puffs and eventually leaves the store mad. (WHATEVER!) FAVORITE one BAR NONE!!!!! Right after "Finding Nemo" was released in theatres i had a younger mother and her two daughters come in my store. This is back when we still carried salt water. So she wants to get a nemo for her two young daughters (actually 2, coz kids cant share!!!!! LOL) So i explain she needs a decent size aquarium, with proper heating filtration and everything. She goes well can i keep them in this (holding up a 1 gallon bowl!) I couldn't help myself i responded and i quote "Yea sure but then you'll have to go to your daughters and explained why you killed Nemo!!!!!!" So yea, they didnt get their Nemo's lol!

I hate it when people come to me and ask can i have a "nemo" (as everyone calls them now) in with these fish, and they would be pointing to tetras and im like no clown fish are salt water and shes like "clownfish?" and i said clownfish are nemo's, and shes like ohhhhhhh realllly, then shes like oh and they are saltwater?? im like yer..... about to knock some sense into this woman, but i would get in trouble :(.

I also had this one customer and seriously i was about to knock some sense into her, ok she came upto me, i greeted her we start talking. First thing that comes out of her mouth was "do you need to feed them" i said "if you want them to live YES!" second question was "do they die" i was pretty much laughing on the spot and i just plainly said yes in a laughing way, i couldnt help myself! lol and yes she was BLONDE !!!!!

When we had S/W we got that all the damn time:irked:

We had a customer in yesterday who was asking if we carried piranha, i said yes and showed them some RBP, caribes and our Rhom. They said which ones the meanest and are they 'meat eaters' i explained that caribes are the nastiest which we had for sale. He said hed take em and i was asking him how big his tank is and he said its massive about 3'.

I and a collegue explained he'd need to upgrade.

He came back in today and was saying that was worried because they hadnt eaten i tried to explain that theyve need a few days to settle in. I said what did you try to feed them.

He said a dead mouse that youd feed to snakes etc... I said they shouldnt be eating stuff like that try pelleted feeds, bloodworm, mussle and cockle etc...

He was like 'oh....' Would a like mouse work!

None of this is BS all true.

omg guys this is hilarious!! c'mon we know you all have some bring it in!!

ok this just in.
One of my best friends is going to a college in montana and we talk often and one time he called me and told me that some kid decided he wanted an eel, so he went to walmart bought a 10g fish tank and threw a bichir (p. senegalus) in there and called it good.... needless to say it died within the month. but he just called me again today and asked how long i thought a clownfish and a lionfish would live together in a 20g... apparently some kid had bought one added water and lots of table salt,(he doesnt even know if its filtered and there is no coral or live rock whatsoever)... i told a month if hes lucky lol... but i mean seriously come on!! a Lionfish?? in a bare twenty gallon table salted tank??:ROFL::ROFL:
