*sigh* what ever it is...you guys won't understand unless you fished Lake Davis and see for yourself, a cast...bam!!! a pike, a cast...bam!!! a pike, gets irritated after a while and they complain to the owner and the owner complain to the state. Well, probably have to wait for couple years when the pikes arrive back again, going to be a heck of another disaster.
but with that being said more people go to WI to fish for pikes than people go to lake davis, hehe...so that's like saying 100 people fly up to WI ea day to fish for pikes
oh, and there is tons of trout fisherman fishing for trout in streams up the foothills and sierra, and the infamous LAKE TAHOE. But it is just far to drive, your looking about an easy 3 hour drive just to go spend half a day fishing and 3 hour back. Get's very irritated and a lot of time wasting when you fish hardcore all season long non stop for every single year.
These lakes just happen to be closer, but if your talking about diseases in hatchery trout compare to wild, it all depends how certain hatchery takes care of their species...
