Hello, the other day I noticed a small, white bump on the side of my Golden Severum, with what looked to be a very small thin, nearly transparent worm coming out of the middle a few milimeters. Its so tiny it would be impossible to get a clear picture, but the best way I can describe it is a very tiny white head (like a zit) with a very very very feint ring of red (irritation?) around it. When I noticed it I got ParaGuard and have used that for the last 2 days however it occured to me that i forgot to take my carbon out, Dispite the zit like growth becoming smaller and less uncomfortable looking.

What leads to me to think it could be some sort of parasite over Ich is because 1/ the small worm that appeared to be sticking out the day before i started Paraguard, and 2. I thought I noticed a large (1-1.5 inch) thin white noodle attached to the side of my firemouth, its now gone however there is a fient mark on his scale where it was attached. Any ideas what this could be? Is a canister filter fine without carbon or anything to fill the gaps? And is Paraguard good for trouble shooting/delaying spread until I find out the proper treatment? Im moving houses again in the next week so any advice on that aswell will be appreciated. Had one loss from moving, A torpedo barb that thought he was a Cichlid :(

Thanks in advance, looked everywhere online and nothing so im just specualting. Delt with Ich, Calleminus worms, various things, and this doesn't match up with something i've delt with thus far. so recap
50 Gallon (US) tank
1x Golden Severum (One white head 'zit' behind right eye, no physical symtoms)
1x Firemouth (parasite spotted, no physical symptoms)
1x Blue Crayfish (No visible symtoms)
Filtration ; Fluval 406 100 gallon Canister

I haven't had any additons to the tank, However I have moved towns and its sitting next to my GFs turtle tank, so maybe a splash of water got in, as for introduction of new anything, there hasn't been.

Sorry for lack of Photos, its so tiny im not even going to frustrate myself with trying, coupled with a terrible phone focus. I've tried to be as descriptive as possible!
