Do you think they were all equally responsible? If so, what is the point of even having an accessory to murder charge if they are just going to use murder 1 every time?

They are all responsible for their idiotic actions but the point here is the shooter, murder 1, other two dumb asses, accessory to murder.

I'm going to have to disagree with you there. I definitely feel sorry for the dead kid, who didn't deserve any of this, his family, and loved ones. All three of the other kids are guilty of armed robbery. No question. However, only one bullet was fired, and only one moron pulled the trigger. The other two shouldn't be responsible for their idiot friend's poor decision. Maybe an accessory, but thats about it IME. I'm also on the fence as to how I feel about them being tried as adults, too. On one hand this was a very violent crime, and they should pay for it. On the other hand, well, legally, they AREN'T adults yet. And for those that will say that 17 is close enough, well, I'm sure you've heard the horseshoe and hand grenades analogy before. Kind of seems like another example of the system manipulating the rules to work in their favor.

Now, don't think I'm defending these losers, I'm not. An innocent person is dead, and they should rot. However, I'm tired of seeing these cops, prosecutors, etc do whatever they want because they can get away with it. Are all three of these guys guilty of murder? IMO, not really. But who's going to argue it?

They will be charged just the same as the one who pulled the trigger , If a group of bank robbers robs a bank and one of the robbers takes a life they will all be charged with the crime ....

OMG, i cant believe there is someone out there that thinks the same things i do. i thought i was the only reasonable one nowadays

Its ridiculous that they all get charged with murder and charged as an adult. Violent crime? yes but they didnt shoot him. for all we know they might have told him not to pull the trigger

@likes, most places at the age of 13, yes 13 you can and will be regularly charged as an adult.

You need to know your law better. As you said, all three are guilty of armed robbery. Someone died from that armed robbery, thus, they are guiltiy of the crime they committed. Some kids nowaday think they will get away with serious punishment just because they're under 18. Law was changed for those kids..

He knows the law, he is saying he doesnt agree. Like i said at 13 u can and will get charged as an adult. Yes you can be sentenced to death at 13

4 17 year old kids killed my cousin with a sawed of shotgun that was 2 years ago today they are all free men including the shooter ... canadas law system sucks

These POS criminals all know the difference between right and wrong, they all knew what they were doing and that a gun was involved. All three have no regard for human life whatsoever and deserve to be prosecuted for murder

The fact is they all were a party to the death of that kid and should all be held accountable.

Exactly.

Sorry to hear.

Sad thing is looks as if half the people posting in this thread seem to thing that 75% of those involved got what they should have. Only one should have to pay the price.

One person should be tried for murder charges if the evidence can support ruling out this one person.

The others should be tried for accessory to murder.

Right?
