I'm going to have to disagree with you there. I definitely feel sorry for the dead kid, who didn't deserve any of this, his family, and loved ones. All three of the other kids are guilty of armed robbery. No question. However, only one bullet was fired, and only one moron pulled the trigger. The other two shouldn't be responsible for their idiot friend's poor decision. Maybe an accessory, but thats about it IME. I'm also on the fence as to how I feel about them being tried as adults, too. On one hand this was a very violent crime, and they should pay for it. On the other hand, well, legally, they AREN'T adults yet. And for those that will say that 17 is close enough, well, I'm sure you've heard the horseshoe and hand grenades analogy before. Kind of seems like another example of the system manipulating the rules to work in their favor.
Now, don't think I'm defending these losers, I'm not. An innocent person is dead, and they should rot. However, I'm tired of seeing these cops, prosecutors, etc do whatever they want because they can get away with it. Are all three of these guys guilty of murder? IMO, not really. But who's going to argue it?
