I am looking to get another eyebiter for my 40 gallon aquarium. I had one before but she died unexpectedly. I have residence already in the tank and I have another wit a really mean cobalt zebra.
The fish are
- 1 dragon blood peacock 5 inches
- 1 blue peacock 3 inches
- 1 mbuna (not sure what kind) 3 inches
- 1 blood parrot 2 and half inches
- 1 Senegal bichir 6 and a half inches
- 1 callychthys cat 5 inches
- 1 cobalt zebra 4 inches

Your tank is full, I definitely wouldn't add a fish that grows to 10". I would keep an eye on everything and make sure someone doesn't wake up one day and decide they don't want any tankmates.
Im going to move the bichir, blood parrot, catfish and blue peacock into a different tank shortly after christmas. Would it work with the 3 others in the 40 gal?

Fish don't grow to the size of their tank, they usually end up being stunted, which is bad for the fish long term. What are the dimensions of your tank? All of the compressicep I've had have been pretty aggressive to the point of owning a 6ft tank, your result may differ with the mbuna in the same tank though.
