Malawi eyebiter with other cichlids

Fish don't grow to the size of their tank, they usually end up being stunted, which is bad for the fish long term. What are the dimensions of your tank? All of the compressicep I've had have been pretty aggressive to the point of owning a 6ft tank, your result may differ with the mbuna in the same tank though.
30 inches length, 12 inches width and 20 inches height

I am looking to get another eyebiter for my 40 gallon aquarium. I had one before but she died unexpectedly. I have residence already in the tank and I have another wit a really mean cobalt zebra.
The fish are
- 1 dragon blood peacock 5 inches
- 1 blue peacock 3 inches
- 1 mbuna (not sure what kind) 3 inches
- 1 blood parrot 2 and half inches
- 1 Senegal bichir 6 and a half inches
- 1 callychthys cat 5 inches
- 1 cobalt zebra 4 inches

I have a 5 incher in my 240 gallon tank. He is in with some American Cichlids like FH, Salvini, Convict, Texas, Jack Dempsey, and a Quetzal cichlid. His other tankmates are other predatory Haps-Livingtoni, Malawi Hawk, Malawi Trout, a Madagascar Polleni, then my boss a 10 inch Pseudotrpheus Crabro. He is a very chill cichlid. With that said I do have him in a large tank with fish that are more aggressive-atleast the americans and crabro.

You are already overstocked for a 40 gallon. Really none of those fish should be in a 40 gal tank except maybe the mound. Just asking for trouble. I would get a 75 gal at minimum just for the fish you have now
