If the male grows out 15in or more ill rehome the pair or single then. But for now Festae fun for me!
Cool fish man! Here are some vids of my current cichlids. Sorry not the best, working with what I got to film them anyways here ya go
sweet a Festae-val...no in all seriousness they are one of the nicest looking cichlids imo. Real stunners. I always wanted to do a Haitiensis project and end up with a pair.View attachment 1458756
Here is one I had back when I just got back in the hobby five years ago, ended up rehoming it
On one of my trips over to The Wet Spot I impulse bought a sizable male that I ultimately took him back worried about adult size and my ability to provide a big enough tank. What's up Jexnell ,
You threw me a curve ball to say the least. I thought for a minute you where going for an Amph lol. You know the one. But, you picked Festae which is pretty sweet. Once they pair up there's going to be color galore! Everybody always talks about the females color, but have you took a good look at the males? They look really good in their own right. GL in this venture. I'll be following.
I wonder how Toni the oscar is doing these days. I remember her current owner used to be active a couple years ago. Here is another little male I had for a bit. View attachment 1459140
The idea give a bunch of targets to Toni my Oscar in hopes that she will get along with at least one.

Last I heard she was still solo save catfish companions. During summer she gets to go outside in a 1500gal pond, winters in a 300gal. Last update she was 14in long.I wonder how Toni the oscar is doing these days. I remember her current owner used to be active a couple years ago.
