My First Kelberi Batch

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The common name might be the money plant..you can just cut the branches and out them into a cup of water and new roots start to form. Then you can leave it or plant it like a hanging plant..I just got a few clippings I'm trying in a HOB filter

wow they look great, i have 2 monos about 5" in length and having a very hard time converting them off of bloodworms and live….did you use the same method as the converting off live sticky?

Yes, there is a thread posted by dieselmack titled "Converting Cichla off live food" You have to be very patient and consistent. It took a week of trying everyday twice a day to get them to bite on the krill but once they start biting on the krill, the transfer to hikari food sticks is a little easier.

wow awesome thank you for the pointers, the only thing i could find was freeze dried river shrimp at the pet store which are a bit smaller but works great. I bought goldfish thinking they are both the same color and was able to get them to swallow 2 shrimp on my second day so things are looking up…..thank you again and you'll have to keep us up to date on your fish

Updated pictures. Picked up 4 wide bar blue hooks. They add so much to the tank. Wish I had them before. I also have a few small to mid size plecos. Have anyone had issues with keeping smaller plecos with Kelberi? So far they do not bother them at all.

Can't really speak on keeping smaller plecos with cichla. Once the cichla get bigger they might try and down a pleco?

Your fish look great, colours are really starting to pop.
