I don't know about the 2262 now. From one member, it only produced 330 gph clean....I think he had other filter floss or something in there but... still.

Fx5, tested and proven 550-625 gph

im sorry! i wish i could..but i guess i dont have room for another.."pool filter"..(size comparison btw) so for now ill have to suffice..although i plan on goin 300+ in a couple years..

Well I did the same thing as most people and read up on the FX5 and then bought 1. Well now I own 4 of them and would change a thing, they our awesome and works wonders. Lets see 180G has 2FX5--125G has 1FX5-- 240G has 1 soon to be 2 LOL. Great filter wouldn't change it!

My only problem so far with the Fx5, its so BIG, it wont fit thru my doors on my stand.. Only way for me to ever get it under the tank inside the stand is to drain the tank and put the filter into the stand from the top, then replace stand and fill it up..
guess my Fx5 is going on the side of the stand in the corner untill we get moved in a few months.

How much space do you need under your stand to remove the baskets and do any other maintenance on an FX5 without moving it? I'm building a stand and planning on getting an FX5, and I want to make sure I build the stand tall enough.

well, my stand (DIY) is 31" tall, with the insides being about 29", and i can remove the lid, and service it completely without taking it out or moving it one bit!. its great. so id aim for an inside dimention of 28+ for easy maintaince

Thanks. I was hoping to not have to build the stand higher than 30".

oh okay, well, i ment realistically, 29" inside is ideal because its roomy, but lets say you want to make one 30", using 2 3/4" plywood for the top and the bottom, that should give you an inside measure of 28.5", which is more than enough for exchanging and maintaince!

Just make sure you put wide enough doors on it to get the filter in there, or put the filter in before you put the tank on. I have loads of space in my stand, but my doors are not wide enough to get the filter in there. So rt now it has to sit next to the stand in the corner untill we move and I can put it in there before putting the tank on the stand..
