hello, I have been moving alot of fish around between our tanks. My female Blood Parrot and Male Escondido Carpintis appear to be pairing. Should I separate them to not let them hybridize? or is this cross desirable?

I thought Red Texas were Cyanoguttatus and King Kong parrots crossed. I also thought that the F1 of the Cyan and KKP had to be bred back to a Green to be a Red Texas. hmm

Red texas can be the result of a cross breeding event among various species, but typically involves a male carpintis (for pearls) and a proven female KKP, red mammon, or quality female red texas. (for red color) Out of hundreds of F1 fry, a person might come up with a few rock stars, the rest will look like one parent, or the other.
