There seem to be two schools of thought on this site and that's why threads like this are controversial.
School of thought #1. When you buy a living creature, you have a responsibility to provide it with a healthy environment to live.
School of thought #2. When you buy a living creature, it's ok to put it in an environment that you know is perilous, but it's ok as long as you are entertained and it's done in the name of "pushing the envelope."
I think it's awesome that you share the failed attempts so that people can learn what not to do, but I don't think you should be surprised if there are people who feel more compassion for the dead fish than for you.
