Number 1 with a blue eyed panique plec and a vulture catfish. Small max size bass tho.
he means get a Peacock bass that stays under 24" since your tank is inly 24" wideThe vulture cat looks pretty interesting, Do I have to worry about it eating everything on me? And what do you mean by small max size bass? Small mouth?

Fortunately, you're in luck, cuz I was just doing some research on them

Intermedia, Kelberi and Orinocensis seems to be the top picks for smaller ssp. w/ Intermedia being the smallest
uuuuuhhhhhm, well I keep ALOT of bottom-feeders and all are kept with cichlids, I'll just tell you what I have and you can buy what you like best......idk what else to do, they ALL work well w/ cichlids at this point and do a good job cleaning: Synodontis, Eclipse, Shovelnose, CAE, RTS, Rainbow Sharks, Black Sharks, Raphaels, Clown Pleco, Bulldog Pleco, Pimelodus, Asian Bumblebee, Channel, ......Polypterus and Eels do a great job cleaning up too.Whoops dont know how I missuderstood that lol. But I have veen researching the same thread, someone mentioned that the intermedia is difficult to get? But the orinos are gorgeous. I think the bass have great color and will really pop when put up against a black background.
Now my thought would just be number of fish in the tank. I could do three bass ( 2 orino, 1 kelberi or vise versa) I would like the Red Abatapo I, I would like to do the vulture cat but I think I would kick myself if something were to happen to the pike getting eaten. Are there any other good bottom dwellers possibly cats that are good at picking up left over food that are least likely to take a bite out of something or am I just gunna have to suck it up? Plus maybe a flag fish for algea cleanup?

Also, If you're gonna Peacocks, seriously the Parachromis would be easier, except the Dovii. As far as Pikes, I have to say, when I got my Pike, it certainly seemed to mimic my Jags' behaviors, so I think they would make good tankmates, depending on max-size for the Red. Pikes can be outrageously aggressive from what I gather. My little 6'incher was just eying up my 3" Polypterus like he was about to gulp him down.....I mean I literally had to stop typing this post and get up and net the Poly out to move him then sat back down and finished typing
Vultures a pretty mellow from my research, thebiggerthebetter
