What Could I put in my tank???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
For several months keep a male and female
(You can more than 1 of each if you wish)
At temps between 55 and 62 degrees or so
(Don't really feed during this period), then let the temps rise to normal, you can start feeding again around 70 degrees, this induces spawning in bullheads and many other fish
How would I lower the temp so much long term, I live in Florida and I keep my tank at 78 to 80

Try just killing any heaters. And when you perform your water changes, add slightly cooler water then what the tank temp is.

Yes , but it's easier than it sounds, plus gives you bragging rights and maybe some money for the fry
This would be done in 75g correct? I think this is a male but I am unsure how would I get a female? I just caught this one cast netting in the spring and I don’t know if I could catch another one

The fry would eventually have to be removed after a few weeks but yes.

It shouldn't be hard to catch another one as they tend to occur rather frequently wherever they are found, if there's one bullhead there's more

Any ideas on how to catch one so small normally I catch 3-5 pounders

Take water bottle, cut off top, stick top in backwards (to make funnel) ta duh ! Fish trap, just weigh some down with a Rick in shallow water, best time to find babies is in the spring
