UPDATE: Bass has not eaten in 5 days. Tried a few different foods. Nothing. Only showed the slightest interest in some worms. That’s it. Yesterday I put some cupramine in. The bass seems to be a bit more active and will come up to the front when I walk in the room. Today, I added salt and did a methlyn blue dip with the PB. Currently, I am doing a water change. Will post pics in a few once I am done the water change. Not sure that this is true. The biggest thing that brings out colors is their health and what you feed them. Various food manufactures have claims on this as far as their ingredients. You can read up on this. Personally I think FD krill is a good food time to time.
Substrate can affect the fish I believe. It also affects the lighting. Which affects the fish.
Many bass keepers have bare bottom tanks. Does it affect the colors? Not sure. I myself believe in substrate.
My bass is going from a tank with dark sand to a tank with tan sand. We shall see what happens.
Good fresh clean water always makes my fish get a little more vibrant. Water changes are the biggest thing for good health.
Also dim lighting can help. Your bass went through some trying moments so don't be surprised that it's not real active yet. What was the bass eating before?
You can try jumbo freeze dried krill. I used it to get my bass off blood worms which is the only food they ate when I bought them 7 months ago.Tilapia
You know I never had real results with fish getting all tizzy over Garlic Guard. They will eat food that is soaked in it. Originally one of my pbass (the picky one) spit it out.Maybe try blood worm in garlic guard it might eat hat I had a pb once that got attacked by my red devil and that food worked
