Hello today my golden aro has died, he had been perfectly fine all day long then I come back and he's dead. Tank parameters are in pictures. Prior to this big 2ft silver aro died looked beaten by cat. Water parameters checked normal levels, did water change. Next day peacock bass does, water checked normal parameters still did 25% water change. 3 days later golden seems healthy I feed them aro eats 2 shrimp rtc eats rest. Next day rtc regurgitating most of food. Aro swimming normally gills a little red water temp stays constant 86 no spikes I make sure if weather outside is too hot turn off heaters. Day 5 aro is fine 6 hours into the day (today) come back to fish room he's bent over dead. RTC seems perfectly fine and ready to eat. Pictures of aro show boils on gills. Went and opened him up gills seemed to be stuck together which may have been the issue. But why? What am I missing? Filtration is 150 gal sump with 20lbs lava rock, 10-15lbs bioballs, 100 sponges, big bag of floss, crushed coral 10lbs, filtration is about 8500 gph. Tank size exact is 440 gallons. Pond that's 3k gallons is almost done which would've been permanent home.
