I think #1 possibly female, #2 and #3 look male. You will likely know for sure about at least 2 of them since dovii can breed at that size and will probably pair up and start terrorizing the other fish.

Just guessing, but I think that would be the subdominant fish. It doesn't appear to be being picked on so it may just not be comfortable with the new surroundings. How long have you had these guys?Is there a reason why one of the dovii don’t have a vertical line? Does that show dominance or is that stress?

In your photos I see a salvini, jack dempsey, and managuense as well. Are you trying to keep all of them together? Are you specifically looking for a male dovii? It may work out for a while, but generally male dovii end up being kept solo or in a pair long term. Which one to keep really depends on what your goal is. Personally I think dovii should be kept alone or in pairs only unless you have an enormous tank. A 75 gallon is a decent grow out until about 10", 125 to around 14", 180 to around 18", and over that the bigger the better. If you get a chance check out guapote mel on youtube, he is the man when it comes to dovii and grew a fish to 27 inches. That fish made a 600 gallon tank look like a puddle.Today was the first day. I’m going to give my buddy the other two dovii and move my one dovii in a 240 gallon tank. I was just interested if one dovii will have better colors since one looks submissive to the other oneIn your photos I see a salvini, jack dempsey, and managuense as well.
