Fish Room Build Thread

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
looks good! make sure you get the extra ecotec booster if you want to run your return pump and not just your wave makers...off the battery

cheers!

And ofc I jinxed it by saying so. “Life” (work) got in the way so I only managed to put the start of the closed air loop together before duty called...

More will follow tomorrow.

The walls needed a little bit of extra sanding so the painting will start tomorrow instead. Soon it will start to look the part!

I love how neatly you are doing things. For me it is just the crown of glory for a fish room to be neatly constructed and organized.

Progess pics 2020-06-18 (before noon)

The power, filter and water station are almost done except for salt water mixing station.
Need to get the shut-off valve powered up, upgrade the main incoming power to 35A for the house and connect he cabinet to main power. The touchup with white paint on the HMA filter "wooden mount" needs to be fixed as well.

Your well planned fish room makes me feel small... as mine is quite unorganized and messy compared to this. Double thumbs up to you sir!

Some friendly advice.. I would triple the amount of bio (k1 or better yet k3) you have planned. As your stock grows (esp. the stingray) you may find that your bio will be lacking and it's better to start with enough bio instead of upgrading afterwards. Perhaps consider adding an Ultima 2 as backup/supplemental filter. I used to house over 30k gallons of fish tanks... now I have about 5000 total gallons. :)
