Slow and steady
All painting will be done today with 2 layers except for the wall that I can’t put up until the tanks are in place. That walk will go in in a couple of weeks ?

I decided to drywall over the only window so it delayed it a little bit due to poor planning... ?

Flooring laid out. The one I wanted, which was darker wooden flooring due to the facts I don’t like stone and especially stone imitation and if you put the planks cross wise the length of the room it looks bigger but the store was out of the right one and it’s not manufactured anymore so I took the easy route and get the second best. ??

Anyhow this is what it will look like. At least it won’t show any dirt and dust on the floor ??

Very nice. Water cleanup will be a snap and running the vinyl up the wall will protect your drywall.

The tanks are still waiting on my driveway.

I have ordered some equipment in the meantime and some old orders are showing up

The first Ecotech Vectra L1 and Battery Backup is on the way.

The lighting mounts will arrive early this week. It’s 1.5” extruded aluminum profiles which will be fastened in the roof with sliding brackets which will be able to go back and forward, left and right, and the hangning fixtures will go up and down so it’s basically a three dimensional setup and I don’t have to drill the roof ever again!

I placed an order for 2 x Giesemann Stellar T5 hybrids which will go on the smaller tank which might be going salt water (more on that below)

The electrical is done for the small tank as well plus a couple of outlets, USB and network sockets on one of the side walls.

Lighting sockets on a separate circuit
Equipment sockets on a separate circuit
GHL power bar controlling heaters and other switchable equipment will be in the equipment sockets.
The equipment sockets are on a backup circuit which can be driven by a generator or battery bank.
An additional socket for “cabinet lighting” controlled by a switch by the door was also installed. I will get a 230v LED strip for that.

Due to the current situation with Corona I might start to work from home so the planned reef tank will be postponed (or potentially the small tank will go salt!) and a desk will be placed between the big tanks instead. I might enjoy working in there ?
