Growing up blue

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Not much to update, starting to feed more pellets and they are accepting them kind of...since adding the black sand they are brighter than ever.

All fish are healthy, soon going to take measurements.

Leaving to go on a mini vacation tomorrow, going to be gone for three days.

Overflowed a fish tank yesterday and flooded my dining room :-( doing another water change on both tanks today.

Fish will be fed once a day while I am gone, the person feeding them knows nothing about fish so they can’t even let me know if something is off....I just hope everyone survives.

My last vacation my goldfish were over fed and the water was very cloudy when I returned and one fish was almost dead...no one had he common sense to skip feeding the fish, just threw more food in the tank.

One of my guppies is going to drop fry in the next couple of days so hopefully this will keep the JDs happily fed while I am away as well.

Unless I’m leaving for more then 3 days. I actually don’t have anyone feed my fish. I just do a good solid feeding the day I’m leaving. Then a large water change and let em go.

Now if I’m gone for more then 3 days then yea I have some one feed. But I tell them to do it every other day. To lessen the chance of overfeeding and coming home to food all over the tank.

Not only did I overflow a tank yesterday but I just broke the thermometer in my fish tank, going to do two additional watch changes back to back and hope for the best. I don’t think it was a mercury thermometer.

Now I’m going to be extra worried on my vacation

Update time;

All JDs are doing good and growing good!!

I believe they have learned how to hunt guppy fry, I have only ever seen two guppy fry in the tank, they have never grown up!

I can watch the JDs hunt the fry in which plants, pretty neat.

Two JDs bumped theirs heads on decor in the last week, one has fully healed, one is healing quickly.

I think the two regular jds I picked up are female, just waiting for them to get a bit larger to confirm it’s a blue beard I am seeing or just their base color. One is short and fat for a jd the other looks torpedo shaped, I’m really hoping the torpedo ones turns out female. The short fat one is almost black all he time.
