also if you say you WILL upgrade the tank every 1-2 years then why don't just do a full upgrade now..... there must be a reason that you are not doing it now and waiting for later
I considered a yoyo but there is no spiraling in the designs the are clearly defined and uniform thick dark stripes over whitish pearl coloring.yoyo loach?

It is Syncrossus berdmorei, the redfin tiger loach.I considered a yoyo but there is no spiraling in the designs the are clearly defined and uniform thick dark stripes over whitish pearl coloring.
The only picture I can find that looks close is on a German website.
They call it this:
Botia fasciata (Parabotiafasciata)
Ringlet Loach
However I can't find any information on them.
I have kids, they consistently more expensive than my hobby, in addition to that I am looking for a house at the moment because by december of this next year I will not renew my lease but move my family into a house.
I currently live on the 9th floor and this building has small elevators.
Might as well wait till we are in the house where I can have a custom tank built in the house rather than buying something I won't like and risking breaking it to get up to the floor I currently live on.
Though I think I will just order the glass when we get our house and build it there myself.
I found a guy here who sells sheets of 5cm thick bulletproof glass for cheap, the house I have my eye on has a long 18 meter long wall that runs from the kitchen all the way to the living room in a 6 bedroom house.
If I can broker a deal for it. My plan will be to build a tank that runs along that wall starting at 1 meter off the floor on a steel welded base that I will cover with wood or marble panels and then to the ceiling and about a meter deep. So the dimensions would be about 15m L x 1.5m H x 1m D
I honestly have no idea how much volume that will hold but it will probably be the only aquarium I will need for big fish.
