So today i started with the white mosquito larvae.
Strange stuff... at first i thought they would be dead, because they were not moving, But at the smalest shaking they started to fidget.
When i gave them into the tank, i noticede that they were not sinking to the ground. I feared, that this could get a problem, because bichirs search their food mostly on the bottom.
But it turned out, that murphy has no problem with free floating food ?
Today was artemia day!
Pretty lively these guys^^.
But unfortunately i wasn't able to get a good video of murphy chasing the artemias. But that's filming animals: you get what you get.
As a replacement, here's pick pic of murphy with its full home in view.
Today i tried the Tubifex Cube (third from the right).
Looks like it came straight out of an alien movie^^
I also took a video. I watched the tank my self, while i was filming, so i din't take care enough of the focus. Sorry for the blurry video...
But i wanted to post it anyway, becaus of it's interesting interaction with the cube.
I often have the problem, that my smartphone ist changing the focus it's self (mostly to the window or the cory). Has anyone some pro-tips for me?
Little update:
After the first few weeks, i can say, that murphy is steady growing about 0,1" a week.
What would you say? Is this a healthy growth rate?
I think the pics show, that murphy grew a lot. I wasn't able to take pics with a ruler, because it's still very shy...
But in sense of proportion the difference is about 0,4" .
Just another update to document murphy development:
I really like vids, becaus you get a better overall impression of the fish. Especially body language and health.
What would you say? Are the vids a good idea, or would you prefer pics?
