I currently have a 120 gal glass aquarium dimensions are 48x18x30.
With no plans on upgrading anytime soon.
Currently featuring an 8.5" Sailfin Pleco, 8" Senegal Bichir, 5.5" Striped Raphael Catfish, and 5" Pictus Catfish

My boyfriend and I would like to add a few more fish but we don't want to overcrowd. I personally love those ugly little bottom dwellers but my boyfriend wants more fish that would actually be seen swimming around the tank.
Would we be able to maybe get one more bottom dweller and possibly two mid-level swimming fish or would that be pushing it? They have to be on the bigger side due to our bichir.

Fish we have considered:
- Two or three Gourami?
- Two Cichlids or possibly an Oscar?
(My boyfriend loves the way they look but I don't know if they'd do well in our tank...)
- Then possibly one more Pictus Catfish or one Banjo Catfish?

Gourami would be a good idea, as they are relatively peaceful. Oscars, especially if kept individually, can 'claim' the while tank as it territory. This results in serious aggression issue Towards anything else in the tank.

You could put quite a few cats in that tank as they are generally peaceful to each other.
