I don't know tbh with you
but great looking geo!
and love that gold sev!:)
No worries, Hopefully someone will recognize it!
Thank you :D the severum i've had from years, grown him since a baby.. Great fish and moderately sized and priced as babies! His name is Odin, after the highest ranking god in viking mythology
Im probably going to return the geo and get a firemouth then hunt for a blue or electric blue acara. Do they do better in a group or is a single one okay? I've noticed alot of fish that perfer groups will adopt other fish as their buddies if there is no other of the same species.

this is my first time with ebas
and I got a male and a female, so can only say from experience,
my male chases the female, like she don't get no peace,
but it's an even balance and think they're happy together,

does anyone else reading this have ebas or can answer that question?
they're from the aquadien family same as a green terror, but ebas are more peaceful than terrors

they've thrived in my ct though, so they seemed like a good choice after seeing how they are so tolerant to all the other fish especially with them being cichlids as well,
let us know what you end up getting :)

Will do, ill keep you updated! I will probably get a male firemouth and a male acara (assuming i can find one) If yours pair up and you need to get rid of some babies hit me up ! Thanks for your imput, Ive never had acaras and i only briefly had a GT but i would imagine if they're related to the GT they would be okay singular but to flourish in groups they would large tanks as well, with dither fish maybe. But I have no experience, just an observation :) Thanks for your help bro, Im going towards the Acara/firemouth combo. They seem to be a good size. Or maybe I should try a African Jewel and Acara, For being an african i've always had great sucsess with jewels in SA tanks for some reason. they seem to behave closer to SA/CA then african and the ones i can get are raised locally in softer water so they have adjusted to SA water conditions.

That geo looks like a red/orange head to me, just dark. Maybe a bit stressed, obviously getting nipped a bit judging by his fins. As for what you put in the tank, its not a huge footprint. Imo I would prob throw in some more roselines and call it a day.

Yea that geo is getting beat up a little. Looks like a stressed redhead to me. The severum is most likely harassing it. My severums got a little nippy with their tankmates. I would just get more roselines if I were you and rehome either the severum or geo. Geos are usually better in a community setting but thats completely up to you, Im not trying to persuade you lol.

He actually gets along great with the severum, they will hangout will each other and what not. The tattered fins are from the crayfish I have, he insists to (the geo) share a cave with the cray. My cray isn't so welcoming haha. I've added more decor and his fins have healed great. I see him and the rosilene shark constantly go at each other. Could that be it? Also he never eats the fish food I put in, even when in front of him. He Will only eat the crayfish food (bottom feeder tablets for omnivors) also his top fin grows like that, not sure why it grows all ragged but it's been like that since I've gotten him and grown. I think it adds character :)

I've grown my severum since 2" and he has never attacked a fish or harassed one besides a fish I got that looked almost identical. He won't even nip at feeder fish I used to get for the other tank mates. I've noticed the geo and the barb always fight and chase each other, could that be where the stress is coming from? The shredded fins are from my crayfish, he insisted on staying in the same rock as the cray and got alittle nipped. Also his top fin has always grown like that (uneven) it's been like that since ive gotten him and his fins have healed but his top has stayed the same, just grown fuller while maintaining the ragged look. He (the geo) will also not eat any food I put in for him but will ravounously go for the cray fishes food. I's the only stuff he eats so I've just been feeding him that.. any tips to ween him into proper staple pellets ?
